About the series

Photographs made in Isfahan between 2013 and 2018: the Shah (Imam) and Sheikh Lotfollah mosques, the Ali Qapu, Chehel Sotoun and Hasht Behesht palaces, the Aliqoli Agha bath and the Si-o-se Pol bridge over the Zayandeh River.

Nearly every frame is set on the building's axis, looking up into a dome or straight across a hall, and the sequence ends outside, on the river at night.
