This place earned fame and importance when Shah Ismail I’s ancestor Sheikh Safi al-Din’s shrine was built there. Since then, other members of the same family where buried there and consequently it turned into shrine where even the martyrs of Chaldaran war were there later on.
The picture shows the porcelain dome of Sheikh Safi al-Din Khānegāh whit holes in which porcelain goblets and jars gifted by Chinese emperor were placed.
